Programmers Launche mentor.sh, a New Platform Connecting Mentors with Mentees

Ukrainian-born developers Dima Maleev and Vlad Kampov have launched mentor.sh, a new platform to connect mentors with those seeking career or startup guidance, as Maleev shared in a recent LinkedIn post.

  • mentor.sh is built to make it easier for people to access vetted mentors who can help accelerate their career or entrepreneurial journey. For experienced mentors, it also opens up a new revenue stream — by offering their services on a subscription basis, they can monetize their expertise.
  • The platform is currently available in English. According to Maleev, mentor.sh is still operating in a limited capacity, with a full-featured launch planned soon. Still, mentors can already sign up, set their rates, and publish mentoring offers.

«This is my first experience launching an end-to-end startup. Most of my ideas have died in private GitHub repos or Google Docs archives,» Maleev admitted.

  • The project was first announced in December 2024, but its launch was delayed due to legal hurdles. «Because we needed to support international payments, compliance checks alone took us an entire month,» he explained.
  • According to the site, more than 50 mentors from various industries have already registered. The founders emphasize that all mentors are vetted before appearing on the platform.
  • Dima Maleev is a software engineer and popular blogger in the Ukrainian tech community. He lives in the US and works as a Senior Engineering Manager at Agoda. Vlad Kampov is a Staff Engineer at Netflix in Warsaw, according to his LinkedIn profile, and previously worked at Wix. Both founders are originally from Ukraine.
  • Maleev and Kampov also offer mentoring sessions on their own platform.
