Ukrainian product company Deus Robotics has partnered with DPD UK, one of the largest parcel delivery operators in the UK. The startup will supply a robotic warehouse automation system, according to a press release by DPD UK.

What does this partnership mean?

• Deus Robotics was selected as one of the finalists in DPD’s EcoLaunchpad innovation program, chosen from over 100 companies worldwide to pilot its solution in a real DPD warehouse.
• Following successful testing, DPD placed its first order to implement the system at its flagship Docklands sorting center in London.
• EcoLaunchpad is part of DPD’s broader sustainability initiative, through which the company annually selects innovative technologies aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of logistics operations.

What does the Deus Robotics system include?

• The Ukrainian solution is designed to free warehouse staff from physically demanding tasks and enable them to focus on more skilled roles. It features:
  • AI-powered software for robot control,
  • a user-friendly, cross-platform web app,
  • specially engineered transport cages,
  • and Rack Robots developed by Deus Robotics.
• The robots are equipped with obstacle detection technology, can transport racks weighing up to 500 kg (1,100 lbs), and are capable of boosting productivity by up to five times.

• Another major advantage is the system contributes to environmental sustainability. Integrating Deus Robotics’ solution will support DPD’s goal of reaching carbon neutrality by 2040.

Earlier in 2024, Deus Robotics raised $3 million in a new funding round led by u.ventures, with participation from 1991.vc, SID Venture Partners, Sigma Software Labs, and SD Capital. The company announced plans to use the investment to scale operations in the UK.
