Details

  • The total amount raised in the round hasn’t been officially disclosed. However, earlier reports indicated that Frontline aimed to raise $800,000 during this phase. In a February 2025 interview with Scroll, the startup’s founders revealed they had already secured the majority of that target — giving a rough idea of the amount now involved.
  • Quantum-Systems joined as a strategic investor, and the two companies signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation. The partnership spans a wide range of initiatives — from technological and production collaboration to joint R&D projects — with a strong focus on scaling manufacturing in Ukraine and localizing components across Europe. The integration of Ukrainian innovations into the broader European defense ecosystem is also part of the plan.
  • The memorandum outlines plans to incorporate Frontline’s technologies into several Quantum-Systems products, including their electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) drones, Vector and Twister, as well as the Drone Port modular system, which provides autonomous, real-time aerial reconnaissance.

About the investor

  • Quantum-Systems is a German tech company specializing in advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS) with vertical take-off and landing capabilities. Their platforms combine artificial intelligence, edge computing, and autonomous real-time analytics.
  • The company operates globally, with a presence in the US, Australia, Ukraine, and Romania. Quantum-Systems has already launched two facilities in Ukraine: a technical service and logistics center, and a drone manufacturing plant.
  • The company plans to double its drone production in 2025. Over the past two years, Quantum-Systems has raised more than $81 million in investments.

About Frontline Robotics

  • Frontline focuses on developing EW-resistant reconnaissance UAVs such as the ZOOM and multitasking bomber Linza, as well as combat robotic modules — including the Burya RWS (Remote Weapon Station) for the 40mm Mk 19 grenade launcher. The company integrates its proprietary visual navigation systems that operate without GPS.
  • Earlier this year, on January 23, Frontline announced new funding from Nezlamni, a firm created by the founders of Uklon. In December 2024, it also secured $150,000 from angel venture firm Angel One and $100,000 from Startup Wise Guys.
  • In 2023, the startup completed a pre-seed round with support from the D3 fund and a private investor and received three grants totaling 6 million UAH from Ukraine’s Brave1 state defense cluster.
