HAPP, a Ukrainian AI startup that automates incoming calls for businesses, has raised $50,000 from a business angel during the MVP development stage. The team is now launching a pre-seed round, aiming to raise between $350,000 and $500,000 to build an autonomous voice infrastructure, according to dev.ua, citing HAPP CEO and co-founder Viacheslav Saloid.

• HAPP AI is a voice assistant that, according to the developers, can handle up to 87% of incoming calls. It can book appointments, provide consultations, and integrate with CRM and PMS systems, helping businesses reduce profit losses from missed calls.

• The team’s idea for HAPP emerged from their experience in the service industry, where routine communications were time-consuming and affected service quality.
• The initial angel investment enabled the team to develop a stable product version, test it in real-world scenarios, and validate market demand.
• HAPP has already launched a demo version and secured its first clients, including restaurants, hotels, beauty salons, online schools, and delivery services. The startup reports it now processes thousands of calls each month and is preparing to integrate with businesses that have large, multi-location networks.

Currently, in the process of raising pre-seed funding, the HAPP team says its next step is to move away from external providers like OpenAI and ElevenLabs:

«We want to abandon external suppliers and instead deploy our own LLM, TTS, and STT models on local servers. This opens up opportunities for greater security, customization, and independence for both us and our clients,» the company said.
